The Bronson Avenue renewal project included a public art component. As the landscape architects on this project, we were part of the team selecting the projected art installation sites, and were honoured to be on the jury to select the artwork that would be installed at those sites.

A public art unveiling ceremony for the first of those public art pieces was held at the Bronson Centre, 211 Bronson Avenue, on Friday, 20 June 2014, to formally launch Andrew O’Malley’s “Community Channel” which is situated above the entrance of the Bronson Centre.

At the unveiling festivities: L-R: Ottawa City Councillor Diane Holmes; Sister Joan Cronin, Superior General of the Grey Sisters of the Immaculate Conception; Artist Andrew O’Malley and children; Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson; Inset (and hidden): Bronson Centre Executive Director Mr. Corey Mayville; Mr. Bernie Ciarroni, Bronson Centre Chair.
